As previously reported by KMAN and updated by Riley County Police on Monday:

Police filed a report for aggravated burglary in the 5900 block of Corporate Drive in Manhattan on January 1, 2016 at approximately 1:55 AM after responding to a report of a masked individual who had broken a window and entered Auth Florence Manufacturing. This individual was near an ATM and when officer arrived they found him attempting to gain accesses into it. Police immediately took this subject into custody without incident. Napolean Melton, 28, of Manhattan, the individual taken into custody, was arrested for the offense of aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property. He was given a bond of $20,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail. The total estimated loss (a break-room window and an ATM) was valued at approximately $1,500.00.


 

A report for aggravated assault was filed in the 2400 block of Pillsbury Crossing Road in Manhattan on January 2, 2016 at approximately 4:45 PM. Police arriving on scene arrested Wayne Corgill, 22, of Shawnee, Oklahoma after receiving a report and investigating claims that he fired several rounds from a handgun in the direction of 3 individuals (Destinee Hedman, 20, of Manhattan, Eric Armstrong, 21 of Fort Riley, Kansas, and Quinn Johnson, 20, of Fort Riley, Kansas). Upon booking Corgill into the Riley County Jail officers inventoried his belongings as procedure dictates and when doing so located methamphetamine. Ultimately Corgill was arrested for the offenses of aggravated assault, criminal discharge of a firearm, and possession of a stimulant. He was given a bond of $8,000.00 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail. Though Corgill and the listed victims were located in two separate vehicles at the time of these crimes, officers confirmed that this incident was not a result of road rage.


 

Police in Riley County are investigating a report of aggravated assault and criminal damage to property as well as ignition interlock device to operate a vehicle after receiving reports of a domestic related altercation in the city limits of Manhattan, Kansas. This altercation consisted of a a male suspect who was arrested, Willard Dison, 38, of Manhattan, who reportedly damaged a vehicle with a hammer after driving it from the Riley County Jail to his home in north eastern Manhattan. While damaging the vehicle the victim, a 38-year-old female was inside and placed in fear of personal injury. Dison was given a bond of $12,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail. This incident occurred on January 2, 2016 at approximately 9:30 AM.


 

Police arrested Jason Bokelman, 40, of Manhattan on the offenses of aggravated battery and intimidation of a witness or victim on January 3, 2016 at approximately 4:00 PM. He was given a bond of $13,000.00 and at the time of this report he was confined at the Riley County Jail. Bokelman was arrested after police investigated a physical altercation that was domestic in nature. The victim, though most personal information has been withheld, is listed as a 28-year-old female who is known to Bokelman. She sustained several injuries to her face and head that required medical treatment.


 

Tyler Mann, 19, of Manhattan and Bailey Crumpton, 17, of Manhattan were arrested and released to a parent respectively on January 3, 2016 at approximately 1:35 AM after officers observed a traffic violation and made a traffic stop. Upon completing this traffic stop the officer observed evidence of possession of marijuana and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia for which the two were taken into custody for. Mann was also arrested for the offense of contributing to a child’s misconduct. He was given a bond of $5,000.00 and is no longer confined at the Riley County Jail. Crumpton was released to parents.


 

The Riley County Police Department filed a report for burglary in the 2100 block of Sloan Street in Manhattan on January 3, 2016 at approximately 4:00 PM for an incident that likely occurred the in the month prior. Officers listed Patricia Spani, 58, of St. George, Kansas as the victim of criminal damage to property and burglary when it was found that a rear entry door was forced open by an unknown subject(s). Officers were also informed of a 1984 Buick was also missing from the garage. In total the estimated loss is approximately $5,500.00 in loss and damage and no arrests have been made.
