A Topeka man was injured in a two vehicle accident that blocked westbound I-70 in Riley County for a couple of hours early Thursday afternoon.  Maxwell Kenneth Kelly, 28, was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka following the accident, reported at 11:18 Thursday morning at mile marker 320, five miles east of K-177.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kelly was travelling westbound in the left lane and struck a dump truck with a plow blade that was blading snow south into the median with its emergency lights activated. The driver of the dumptruck, 54 year old Gerald Cox, 54, of Wamego, was not injured.Both Kelly and Cox had seatbelts on.
