A St. George man was taken to the hospital following a two vehicle accident in Pottawatomie County Thursday afternoon. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Michael Weaver, 70, was transported to Manhattan’s Via Christi Hospital after the 2010 Jeep Patriot he was driving northbound on Blackjack Road pulled out in front of a 1999 Chevy Classic 1500, which was westbound on U-S 24.
The 26-year-old driver of the Chevy, Sean Langston of Wamego, was not injured. Both Weaver and Langston had seatbelts on. The accident was reported at 1:15 Thursday afternoon.
