After a pursuit, Junction City Police arrested a man on a host of charges in the early morning hours of Thursday, according to officials.

Jerry Hassler was arrested after 12:30 a.m. and is charged with driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license as well as possession of a controlled substance and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet.

Additional charges include attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, failure to yield to both a motor vehicle and stop signs, speed violations, obstruction, permitting a dangerous animal to be at large and driving with a defective tail lamp.

Hassler has multiple arrests on his record, as recently as this past March when he was arrested for improper driving on a laned road and no proof of insurance. He was also previously arrested in 2017 when he narrowly missed hitting a police officer who was blocking traffic on Highway 70 after a tanker truck overturned.
