
A Junction City woman facing a variety of drug charges including distribution causing death is scheduled to appear in Riley County District Court on Thursday for a plea hearing in her case.
Ashley Nicole Price, 24, is charged with distribution of a controlled substance causing death on June 1, 2023. Leilani Alize Johnson, 20, was originally from Trona, California, but lived in Manhattan and worked as a cashier at Short Stop. Johnson died on June 1, 2023, and several of her family members have been subpoenaed in Price’s case.
Price is also charged with distribution or possession with intent to distribute between 10 and 100 doses of fentanyl, distribution or possession with intent to distribute less than 10 doses of fentanyl, distribution or possession with intent to distribute less than 25 grams of marijuana, possession of a drug scale and use of a phone to commit a felony drug transaction.
