The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Monday is had installed stop signs at the intersection of US Highway 24 (Tuttle Creek Boulevard) and Marlatt Avenue in Manhattan, following a crash that damaged the existing traffic signal system.

Officials said drivers should use the intersection as a four-way stop sign-controlled intersection until repairs can be made. The timeline is about three weeks, conditions permitting.

KDOT officials said in a statement they urge motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit NewsReleases/District1-NortheastKansas.
