ABC/Mitch Haaseth2018 was certainly the year of the country/pop crossover hit, with Florida Georgia Line teaming up with Bebe Rexha for “Meant to Be,” Maren Morris adding vocals to Zedd’s “The Middle,” and Kelsea Ballerini releasing “This Feeling” with The Chainsmokers.

It’s a trend that seems likely to continue into 2019. Next up? Kane Brown joins Grammy-nominated R&B star Khalid for a remix of his song “Saturday Nights” from his 2018 EP Suncity. You can preview two short clips of the song on Kane and Khalid’s socials now, with the full version due on Friday.

Kane’s already made an impressive all-genre showing: Last year, he duetted with Camila Cabello on a version of her pop hit “Never Be the Same,” and in November, his sophomore record, Experiment, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. Its lead single, “Lose It,” remains in country’s top ten after reaching the top spot in December.
