An infant from Manhattan died Thursday morning, according to Riley County Police officials.
RCPD responded to a call reporting an infant not breathing in East Manhattan at around 8:30 a.m. The child was life-flighted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City after being rushed to Via Christi in Manhattan. He was declared dead at the KC hospital.
The investigation is ongoing. KMAN will update as more information becomes available.
