A convicted sex offender from Manhattan was sentenced Tuesday to eight years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

According to a release from U.S. Attorney Stephen McAllister, 35-year-old Bryan S. Duncan pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography. In his plea, he admitted that undercover investigators downloaded child pornography from his account through a peer-to-peer file-sharing program.

In a search of his Manhattan home, investigators uncovered electronic devices containing 450 video files.

Duncan had a previous child pornography conviction from 2005.
