Sales tax numbers for Manhattan were up significantly in the most recent numbers released. More than one million dollars was collected in November–$1,087,282, in fact. That compares favorably to last November’s numbers which were $1,033.811. And it’s the most collected in a four year time period for November. That leaves a positive budget impact of $77,993 for Manhattan for the month of November.

Manhattan Finance Director Bernie Hayen was pleased with the news, noting, “Finally. A little more than $50K of additional sales taxes compared to November of last year.”
