The Manhattan Area Technical College Adult Learning Center brings several professional and educational certification opportunities to the Manhattan area.
People using this facility have access to General Educational Development (GED) testing, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) testing, Educational Testing Service (EST) certifications, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) certifications and many more technical and educational certifications and tests.
Many people who choose to use this facility make use of other resources too, in addition to the education provided. These include the clep study guides found online to help keep them focused on the task at hand.
The options for people who earn credits via this method are various. Several opt to pursue medical careers as BSNs, whilst others will use the testing results to transfer to a college of their choice for other degrees.
By having access to the facility in the local area, access to education as a whole is greatly improved, which has many benefits for the Manhatten area. It is hoped more positive change will be seen with this facility as it continues to serve the community.
Chris Boxberger, the Adult Learning Center Director, says the facility allows Manhattan-area residents to take many of the tests locally as opposed to having to leave town.
Boxberger also says the testing center has been a great resource for businesses and organizations.
