The K-State College of Business will dedicate its new building Friday afternoon.
The college expects over 1,000 people to attend the dedication. Those in attendance will be able to tour the new building, hear tunes from the marching band and snack on food.
The new building is a substantial improvement over Calvin Hall, where the College of Business was previously housed. The new $55 million building has 20 new classrooms, 51 individual study rooms, advanced technology and designated spaces for individual majors.
The building was primarily funded by donors with $40 million of the cost financed through donations and the other $15 million covered by the university.
Dr. Kevin Gwinner, the dean of the college, told KMAN Wednesday the new building is part of a $100 million campaign, of which the College of Business just recently passed the $90 million mark.
For those planning to attend, the dedication is scheduled to kick-off with the K-State marching band playing outside the building from 1:45-2:30 p.m.
