A Kansas Department of Corrections inmate serving time for nearly 25 years on Geary County charges of first degree murder and kidnapping has apparently been passed over for parole.  Jason Turner, 46, had been up for consideration with September public comment sessions, but KDOC indicates on its website just this past week he’s now not eligible for release until 2021.
Turner was sentenced in 1992 in connection with murder and kidnapping cases in September of 1991. He has been held at Ellsworth Correctional Facility since 2006.
