Pottawatomie County has announced that its vaccine sign-up program is now online.

Those wanting to sign up are encouraged to either do so online at https://pottcounty.govbuilt.com/vaccinesignup or by calling 785-457-1432. However, people are advised to only choose one of these options as doing both could result in someone being signed up twice.

The county has reportedly already received a high number of sign-ups, so those who call may have to wait a day or two someone to call back.

Pott. County is also reporting that Governor Laura Kelly could begin phase two of the vaccine distribution plan as soon as today. This means the county expects that the state could deliver more vaccines by the end of this week.

Phase two includes healthcare workers who have not yet received the vaccine, first responders, individuals 65-years of age and older, K-12 teachers, childcare providers and some associated with congregate settings for those in the 65+ category.

Since last Friday’s report, Pott. County has seen 43 new COVID-19 cases, 58 recoveries, one COVID-19 related death and currently has four COVID-19 related hospitalizations.
