A report for burglary, criminal damage to property, and theft was filed in the 2800 block of W. 56th Ave. in Manhattan around noon on Monday. Police found that a 2004 GMC Sierra belonging to Wood Enterprises of Ogden was removed without permission. Gas caps, an auger attachment, and vehicle battery were also removed. The total estimated loss is listed as $7,145 including damage to a storage locker door. Currently, officers are asking anyone with information to contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
50-year old Paul Olberg of Junction City, Kansas was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on Monday afternoon. Olberg was arrested on the offenses of battery and theft of property or services which was listed on a warrant from Shawnee County. He was confined on a bond of $5,000.
Officers with the Riley County Police Department reported a theft at Target in Manhattan on Monday morning shortly before 11 a.m. Police were made aware of the theft that involved 2 unknown females who took 2 electric scooter hover boards valued in total at approximately $800. Currently, suspects are unknown and no arrests have been made or citations issued. Those with information on this crime are encouraged to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
