A Wamego man was arrested at the Riley County Police Department shortly before 5 on Friday evening. Brian Lee Havens, 36, was arrested for failure to appear. His bond was set at $10,000.
A Junction City man was arrested Friday afternoon at the Riley County Police Department. 42-year old Kenneth Fleury Jr. was arrested for a probation violation at approximately 12:28 p.m. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

An arrest on Saturday evening sent a local woman to jail. Theresa Lynn Thompson, 46, was taken into custody shortly before 6:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Stagg Hill Rd. Offenses are listed as possession of narcotic drugs and drug paraphernalia. Thompson was bonded at $5,000.

Earlier on Saturday evening in an unrelated incident, police arrested 31-year old Alvin James Mason for probation violation while at the Riley County Jail. Mason was released on $5,000 bond. Mason was sentenced in December for domestic battery.

On Saturday at approximately 9:50 a.m. a single vehicle injury accident occurred in the 8900 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd.  A 2012 Kia Sorento being driven by Carol Raseta, 65, of Marysville, was traveling southbound when her vehicle exited the roadway.  As a result of the accident Raseta sustained injuries and was transported to Via Christi Hospital.

On Saturday at approximately 9:43 a.m. a two vehicle injury accident occurred on Fort Riley Blvd. near the intersection of E. Poyntz Avenue.  A 2003 Chrysler 300 driven by Caven Beseka-Nnoko, 28, of Fort Riley, was traveling northbound when it rear ended a 2005 Dodge Van driven by Aundra Brooks, 55, of Manhattan, as it was stopped at a traffic light.  Brooks and her passenger Donovan Barbert, 25, of Manhattan, were both transported by EMS to Via Christi Hospital.

A report of an aggravated arson and criminal damage to property was filed at 821 Moro Street in Manhattan on Saturday at approximately 9:00 a.m. for an incident that had occurred sometime during the early morning hours.  An investigation revealed that an unknown suspect had burned the stairwell of the apartment complex as well as a children’s swing, which was attached to the stairwell.  Total damage estimated at $330.


A Manhattan man was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning. 34-year old Gaspar Castro Lorenzo was arrested shortly before 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Bluemont Ave. for driving under the influence and displaying a fake drivers license. Lorenzo was given no bond.
