RCPD Report: 5/20/20

MANHATTAN, KAN. –

Officers filed a report for vehicle burglary in the 3600 block of Everett Pl. in Manhattan on May 19, 2020, at approximately 7:10 AM. Officers listed a 32-year-old female and a 36-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect entered two vehicles belonging to the victims and took cash, a purse, a diaper bag, a Springfield XDS 45 caliber handgun magazine and bullets. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $705.00. The purse was later recovered. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for aggravated residential burglary and vehicle burglary in the 2100 block of Plymouth Road in Manhattan on May 19, 2020, at approximately 8:30 AM. Officers listed a 66-year-old female and a 65-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect took money, a Glock 19, magazines holding 15 rounds of 9mm ammo, a holster, folding knife, flashlight, and a purse. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,630.00. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for vehicle burglary in the 2000 block of Danbury Ct. in Manhattan on May 19, 2020, at approximately 9:10 AM. Officers listed Hill Management Service as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged the window of a 2009 Dodge Ram and took cash. Officers listed a 63-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged a window on the victim’s vehicle and took Ray-Ban Sunglasses, a flashlight, knife, and binoculars.
