On May 10, 2016 at approximately 3:25 PM police arrested Julie Kenfield, 44, of Leonardville, Kansas while in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza in Manhattan. Officers arrested Kenfield on a warrant for the offense of failure to appear which originated in Ness County, Kansas. This warrant had “no bond” and caused Kenfield to be confined at the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

A report for the offense of theft was filed in the 1200 block of Kearney Street in Manhattan on May 10, 2016. Police found that a 1999 Silver Honda Accord was removed from the possession of Jacqueline Behnke, 54, of Manhattan. This crime occurred between April 23, 2016 and April 24, 2016 and the report listed the amount of loss at approximately $1,000.00. Currently suspects are unknown and police ask that anyone with information contact the Riley County Police Department or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Those using the crime stoppers service can remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
