Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover accident in the 5900 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. on May 26, 2017 at approximately 7:45 AM. When officers arrived on scene, they found that a 2002 green Nissan X-Terra, driven by Sean Maxwell, 21, of Manhattan, had struck a guardrail then rolled after Maxwell swerved to avoid a vehicle that stopped suddenly to avoid striking a deer. Maxwell was transported by EMS to Via Christi for his injuries. No citations were issued at the scene of the accident.

Edward Harrison, 30, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on May 26, 2017 at approximately 11:05 AM. Harrison was arrested on a Council Grove Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Harrison was issued no bond. Harrison was not confined at the time of this report.

Lyle Henderson, 35, of Concordia, Kansas, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on May 26, 2017 at approximately 3:50 PM. Henderson was arrested on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. Henderson’s bond was set at $10,000.00. Henderson was not confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 500 block of Sunset Ave. on May 26, 2017 at approximately 4:15 PM. Officers listed Neel Ganta, 19, of Manhattan, as the victim when he reported that an unknown suspect entered his residence and took 7 Polo shirts, 4 jackets, a Sony smart TV, and a PS4. Jeremy Baker, 36, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 4000 block of Fort Riley Blvd. on May 27, 2017 at approximately 2:55 AM. Tanya Wright, 55, of Manhattan, was arrested in the 1800 block of College Ave. on May 27, 2017 at approximately 2:20 PM. Wright was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Wright’s bond was set at $5,000.00. Wright was not confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 700 block of E. 3rd St. on May 27, 2017 at approximatley 3:40 PM. Officers listed Long John Silvers as the victim when employees reported that a known suspect took approximately $3,000.00 from the business over the course of several months.

Marquay Haralson, 24, of Ogden, Kansas, was arrested at 14th St. and Linden St. in Ogden, Kansas on May 28, 2017 at approximately 12:25 AM. Haralson was arrested on Geary County District Court warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply. Haralson’s total bond was set at $45,000.00, causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for rape in the northeast part of Manhattan on May 28, 2017. Officers listed a 22 year old female as the victim when she reported that she was raped by a 26 year old male known to her. Due to the nature of the crimes reported, no additional information will be released.
