Authorities are searching for clues after report of a stolen trailer and truck earlier this month, east of Manhattan.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office says a report was filed April 17 in the 9000 block of U.S. Highway 24. The theft reportedly occurred sometime over the last few months. The trailer is described as a 2020 Titan utility bumper pull that is 21 feet long with a black frame and wood decking.

In a separate incident, the Sheriff’s Office says a truck was also reported stolen on April 22 in the 8000 block of U.S. Highway 24. It’s believed the theft happened sometime the previous weekend. The truck is described as a white Chevrolet 1500 regular cab with a Z71 decal on the rear passenger side of the bed. A silver Weather Guard toolbox was in the bed behind the cab.

Authorities say they do not believe the two thefts are related. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Kidd at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353. Tips may also be submitted at ptsheriff.com.
