“I’m gonna be really nervous to sing with Carrie,” she confesses. “It will be the first time we sing it live together. That’s the fun part, though. That’s kind of why you want to do it in the first place is to sing it live. I mean, it’s fun to sing it in the studio and all that stuff with her, but definitely singing with someone as powerful as she is pushes you as a vocalist.”

Miranda says she feels even more pressure, because the sassy song affords the two a rare opportunity.

“I’m nervous, but I’m excited, and I’m excited for people to see two female country artists up there onstage together. That doesn’t happen that often, or not often enough, in my opinion. So, we’re just gonna go rock it,” she laughs.

“Something Bad” is one of the tunes on Miranda’s new CD, Platinum, out June 3. You can catch the song’s first live performance Sunday on the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
