K-State alum and award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet gave the K-State Marching Band an early Christmas gift Saturday.

The Emmy Award-winning “Modern Family” star surprised the Pride of Wildcat Land with a new box truck to transport equipment for road games just before the band left for the Cactus Bowl in Arizona.

“Your enthusiasm is contagious,” Stonestreet told the band inside the All Faiths Chapel on campus Saturday night. “So, while we may be able to do these things and do do these things that’s a little bit of a selfish act on my part, because it makes me feel good, because I know you feel good — I know you take pride in what you do, and I’m appreciative of that.”
