Two people were injured in a Wednesday morning accident in Pottawatomie County on K-99. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Gary Hodges, 62, of Saint George was taken to KU Medical Center in Kansas City, with Mathias Hodges, 14, taken to the Wamego Hospital.
Gary Hodges was driving a Mercury Mountaineer southbound on 99 when the right front tire left the roadway. Hodges then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch on the west side of the road, rolling and coming to rest on its tires.
The accident on K-99 about a half mile north of Louisville Road was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Gary and Mathias Hodges did not have seat belts on.
