The November 8th General Election is fast approaching, and there’s some important deadlines to consider before then. Riley County Clerk Rich Vargo says the registration deadline is Tuesday, October 11th.
Vargo also reminds all that advanced voting starts October 19th, and it’s something to consider since November weather is unpredictable.
Vargo says the time it will take to get through a ballot may surprise people, and believes there is a potential for lines to form at the polls.
There will also be two State Constitutional Amendments on the November 8th ballot. Vargo recommends people become familiar with them before voting. Sample Ballots will be available online.
