Wamego Public Schools is in the market for a new superintendent.

At Tuesday’s monthly meeting, the USD 320 board of education accepted Rob McKim’s resignation. McKim informed the board he would be sending an email to district staff and had notified several staff members prior to the meeting.

According to KNZA Radio in Hiawatha, McKim has accepted the superintendent position with Prairie Hills USD 113. McKim was hired at Wamego in 2022 and prior to that was principal at Lansing High School. He’s been in education for over 31 years.

The board Tuesday night unanimously approved a recommendation to retain superintendent search services from the Kansas Association of School Boards for $6,300 plus actual expenses.
