Detectives with the Riley County Police Department are asking possible witnesses of a Monday night vehicle collision to contact them to help further a fatality collision investigation. If you were witness to the fatal vehicle wreck at approximately 7:15 PM in the 2400 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard you’re asked to contact RCPD or Detective Joe Ehrlich with the Riley County Police Department Investigations Division.

The Riley County Police Department can be reached at 537-2112.

Detectives are also looking for witnesses who may have interacted with the driver of the 2001 Ford Ranger who stopped at the accident scene prior to police arrival and who and have not yet provided information to authorities, or witnesses that may have observed the vehicle and its driving prior to the collision.

As RCPD reported Tuesday area emergency responders were called to the collision in the 2400 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard north of the intersection of Tuttle Creek Blvd. and Northfield Road in Manhattan.

Officers arriving on scene were able to determine that the Ford Ranger had lost control and collided with a 2013 Chevy Cruze which was traveling in the same direction. The driver of this Chevy Cruze was uninjured and the damage to this vehicle was minor.

Joshua Mall, 39,  of Riley was being treated at a medical care facility in Topeka but his passenger, Madilyn Mall, 6, died following the crash.
