A federal jury on Friday convicted a Kansas woman of killing her husband on Fort Riley last year.

The jury found 31-year-old Margaret Shafe guilty of second-degree murder for shooting and killing Greg Shafe, a U.S. Army soldier, in their home on Fort Riley in February 2024.

Margaret Shafe faces a maximum of sentence of life in prison. A federal district court judge will sentence her at a later date.
