RCPDReportOfficers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Jordan Hodges, 24, of St. George, Kansas on March 4, 2016 at approximately 4:05 PM while at the Riley County Police Department. Hodges was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear with an original offense of having no driver’s license. He was given “no bond” and at the time of this report he was confined at the Riley County Jail.


 

Philip Hawley, 20, of Holton, Kansas was arrested while near the intersection of College Ave. and College Heights Road in Manhattan on March 5, 2016 at approximately 2:45 AM. He was arrested and is no longer confined for the offenses of distribution of opiates, opium, narcotics, or other certain stimulants, distribution of a hallucinogenic or marijuana, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of opiates, opium, narcotics, or other certain stimulants, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and purchase or consumption of alcoholic liquor or CMB by a minor. Hawley was given a total bond of $11,000.00. He was arrested along with Alexander Manrique, 20, of Overland Park, Kansas as a result of a traffic stop. Manrique was arrested on the offenses of distribution of opiates, opium, narcotics or other certain stimulants, distribution of hallucinogenics or marijuana, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, possession of opiates, opium, narcotics or other certain stimulants, and purchase or consumption of alcoholic liquor or CMB by a minor. Manrique was given a bond of $10,000.00 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.


 

Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for aggravated battery on March 5, 2016 at approximately 8:40 PM for an incident that occurred between 7:00 PM and 8:40 PM in the 2200 block of College Ave. Police responded to the emergency room of Via Christi Hospital to take a report and begin an investigation into a gunshot wound. Officers listed Jaronne White, 26, of Kansas City, Kansas as the victim after being shot in the leg by an unknown person while at a house party. Police continue to investigate the matter and at the time of this report no further information was available to released. Law enforcement officials do no believe that the surrounding community is at risk of increased danger as a result of this incident. Courtney Vieyra, 30, of Junction City, Kansas was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on March 5, 2016 at approximately 11:30 PM. Vieyra was arrested on a warrant for the offense of failure to appear with an original offense of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was given a bond of $10,000.00 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.


 

On March 6, 2016 at approximately 3:00 PM emergency crews responded to near the intersection of Ella Lane and Seaton Road in Manhattan for a report of an injury collision. Police found that an unknown vehicle was stopped in the 3100 block of Ella Lane and struck Victoria Zane, 20, of Manhattan as she was standing next to the driver’s side when it accelerated and continued down Seaton Road. Zane was transported to Via Christi Hospital for complaint of pain. Officers continue to investigate this matter and ask that anyone with information contact the Riley County Police Department.


 

Nicole Holt, 21, of Chapman, Kansas was arrested while in the 1000 block of Leavenworth Street in Manhattan on March 6, 2016 at approximately 11:30 AM. Holt was arrested on the offense of failure to appear with an original offense of burglary to a vehicle. She was given “no bond” and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail.
