
The Riley County Police Department is investigating two separate vehicle incidents that occurred over the weekend in Manhattan.
Officers first responded at approximately 10:20 a.m. Friday, July 25, to the 1800 block of Laramie Street after a 38-year-old man reported a known 33-year-old woman stole his 2007 Ford F-150. Police estimated the value of the truck at $15,000. The investigation remains ongoing.
In a separate case, officers filed a report of criminal damage to property at approximately 2:13 a.m. Saturday, July 26, in the 400 block of North Park Road. A 24-year-old man reported an unknown suspect shattered the rear window of his 2022 Dodge Ram, causing an estimated $1,400 in damage.
Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the Riley County Police Department or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Anonymous tips may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
