An ammonia leak is causing some concerns at K-State’s Polytechnic campus in Salina. K-State Vice President of Communications and Marketing Jeff Morris now tells KMAN the ammonia leak was reported at Schwans near the campus. Morris adds with the number of emergency vehicles campus officials wanted people to be aware.
The K-State alert issued at 7:41 a.m. Wednesday indicated the campus is open but faculty, staff, and students should use best judgement to ensure safety. Concerned employees are to check with their supervisor.
