New Kansas travel book features local attractions
Kansans looking to explore the Sunflower State may find some new ground to cover thanks to Roxie Yonkey, a travel writer based out of Goodland, KS. Yonkey is the author of the recently published travel guide “100 Things to Do in Kansas Before You Die”.
      Kansas Book 1

To get started, Yonkey considered people, events and landmarks that Kansas is known for and many other events that have gained followings over the years. Yonkey says, it’s usually one of two reactions, ‘How can you pick 100 things to do because there’s not many things to do?’ or ‘How can you only pick a hundred things to do?’. Yonkey hopes that with her new book, more people will see Kansas as she does.
      Kansas Book 3

Yonkey believes Kansas can be considered a must see destination for tourists. She says, you just have to know where to look.

      Kansas Book 2

Yonkey discussed some of the most monumental individuals that dug their roots in Kansas in her recent interview with KMAN. She also shared some of her favorite hidden gems, showing that many who think they know Kansas, perhaps don’t know the state as well as they think.
