A Manhattan man charged with attempted murder was in Riley County District Court Monday for an arraignment on separate charges of violating the offender registration act and perjury.

Jarman Morgan, 45, entered not guilty pleas to all seven charges against him, including four for failing to register and three for perjury. The offenses are alleged from August 2020 to December 2021.

Judge John Bosch set the matter over for Oct. 16, the date his trial is to begin for a May 2022 charge of attempted murder and aggravated battery of a 27-year-old woman.

Morgan is also facing an attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery charge involving a 35-year-old man on two separate occasions between the summer of 2020 and spring 2021.
