Police are investigating a reported fraud case involving an online scam in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department.
Officers filed a report at approximately 10:44 a.m. April 22nd in the 1500 block of Harry Road for theft by deception and identity theft. A 69-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect he met online defrauded him of money and personal information.
The total estimated loss associated with the case is $5,500.
No additional information was immediately released.
