Manhattan Regional Airport welcomed the arrival of new aircraft Friday morning.
The plane, a Bombardier CRJ700, seats 65 people and will be used in the airport’s daily flights to and from Dallas. It was welcomed with a ceremonious water cannon salute.
It’s the biggest plane to be in service for the airport, which has tripled in size over the past five years. The $15.8 million expansion of the airport was paid for through grants from the Federal Aviation Administration and City of Manhattan funding.
