Two Topeka men were arrested Thursday following a series of burglaries at a Manhattan residence, according to the Riley County Police Department.

Officers filed reports on April 12, April 14 and April 16 in the 1200 block of Tabor Valley Road after a 67-year-old man reported that unknown suspects broke into his home on three separate occasions and stole various items, including a safe and its contents. The total estimated loss has not yet been determined.

Thomas William Wallace Mundy, 30, of Topeka, and McKinley Glen Hopkins, 34, of Topeka, were both arrested at approximately 3:29 p.m. April 16 at the residence. Each was charged with burglary: dwelling to steal a firearm.

Both Mundy and Hopkins were issued total bonds of $15,000 and remain confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
