A Yates Center woman was killed and two from Manhattan were injured Monday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Woodson County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, 54-year-old Sandra Campbell, was driving a Ford Ranger pickup at the time of the crash. Her vehicle, which was hauling an over-sized load collided with a northbound semi hauling a trailer also with an over-sized load. Her vehicle was sent into a counter-clockwise rotation and overturned. The semi also struck another northbound Dodge Ram pickup.

Campbell, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

The semi driver, 56-year-old William Allen, of Manhattan, had no apparent injury. The driver of the Dodge Ram, 69-year-old Juda Lake, of Manhattan sustained a serious injury. She was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital. Both were wearing seat belts.
