Two additional people have been arrested in connection with a joint law enforcement operation earlier this month targeting sex buyers and people accused of attempting to meet children for sexual acts.
Riley County Police said Cody Michael Caswell, 35, of Manhattan, was arrested Friday morning on allegations of electronic solicitation involving a person he believed was older than 14 but younger than 16, and attempted aggravated human trafficking involving the hiring of a child older than 14 to engage in sexual acts.
Caswell was issued a $100,000 bond and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
Bailey Ryan Jacobs, 43, of St. George, was arrested Friday afternoon on allegations of electronic solicitation involving a person he believed was older than 14 but younger than 16, and attempted sexual exploitation of a child involving possession of media depicting a child younger than 18.
Jacobs was issued a $75,000 bond and was no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
The RCPD said the arrests stem from the Sept. 17-18 joint operation involving several law enforcement agencies.
